Mustard vs. ketchup

I’ve never heard of ketchup gas, but I’ve never had ketchup just by itself to see what sort of effect it would have.

Okay, my bad. You’re right.
But I think mustard would kick soup in the nuts. Mustard knows more about soup to nuts than anyone.

No.

No.

Now we’re talking.

I’m sorry but I have got to have three different condiments, absolutely, on my veggie burger or beef burger; mayo, mustard and ketchup. Otherwise, feed it to the dog.

Mustard: good on ham sandwiches, burgers, tuna salad sandwiches, egg salad (sandwiches) and potato salad.

Ketchup: good on burgers and fries.

Mayo: good on burgers, ham sandwiches, tuna salad sandwiches, egg salad (sandwiches,) pasta salads, potato salad, among other foods I can’t think of this early morning.

Yes, ketchup is least used in my household but damn, gotta have it on my burgers!

I’m with Cecil on this one. Ketchup is something you slobber all over your kids’ food to make them eat it. Mustard is a heavenly condiment and proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy.

another vote for mustard
I don’t like ketchup.

mustard

Ketchup has been relegated to potato products in my life (except when Horseradish is available), with mustard taking the prime place on most sandwichs, burgers (yes, even with cheese), ham, sausages, hotdogs, etc. And the potato rule is not absolute even, as in the case of a knish mustard wins.

Ketchup is the most wonderful thing. My vote has to be for Ketchup.

Are you guys talking about French Mustard, American Mustard or the heavenly English Mustard?

I like most mustards. I dislike most ketchups/tomato sauces.

Mustard has so much more variety to it than ketchup. You don’t get dijon ketchup, wholegrain ketchup, honey ketchup, chinese ketchup, mild ketchup, ketchupaisse, sweet ketchup or hot ketchup.
Ketchup may have the volume, but if it’s depth you’re looking for, mustard easily outclasses it.

I’m an HP sauce fan too. And Branston, and Picallili. And Chutney. Horseradish. Hot cherry pepper spread. Mayo. BBQ sauce. Hot sauce…etc
