That is about as useful an answer as most of the ads.
It doesn’t answer the question: “Can I play cage matches on all these maps?” or “Can I play Free for All on all these maps?”
Take Derail as an example. I am pretty sure it is a ‘multiple game type’ map, but you can’t play FFA or 3PC on it.
And in answer to Palooka, I probably won’t buy it. But £10 something pence is not very much. About the price of a single order of barely edible junk biomass from a typical non-chain take-away.
I might not get much out of it, but it’s still only about £10.
On the xbox:
I’ve seen all 5 of the new maps in Free-for-all.
Cage match was removed on the xbox when the new map pack came out, replaced with first person team tactical (which also had all 5 maps).
There are 5 maps but only 3 are new. 1 is Crash and one is Overgrown from MW.
Stimulus pack gets its own spot on the choose game screen. The maps are in a Mosh Pit like rotation, but the rotation does not include any of the previous MW2 maps.
If PC works like the Xbox it won’t matter whether you buy the maps or not - removing cage match was a playlist update separate from the Stimulus package and you got it whether you bought them or not. Regarding Stimulus playlists, the Xbox has Stimulus and Stimulus Hardcore which only have the Stimilus maps in the rotation in Mosh Pit style, but the maps were added into the normal rotation of all other playlists as well (unlike Halo 3, MW2 can accomodate people with & without the Stimulus Package in the same playlist - you just don’t get matched to the same game/lobby)
The thing that annoys me about the reason for removal of Cage - to stop boosting - is that it will merely have the effect of further ruining another game mode - free-for-all, because the boosters will simply go there (and ruin the game for legitimate players)
I loved Cage and I never used it for boosting. In fact I would set my name as “Not boosting” so as to save time by not having to wait for the game to start and apologise for being here to actually play the game.
