We don’t buy that many DVD’s. Our collection is pretty small. Kids, tight budget and all that. So when I received a $100 Amazon gift certificate for my birthday, I felt like a kid in a candy store!
So after much thought, I made my selections:
Batman - The Movie (1966) (6.99) - The best campy movie of all-time. Bat shark repellent, anyone?
Schoolhouse Rock! (Special 30th Anniversary Edition) (1973) (12.99) - All 46 songs, including a new one, a lost one, and a lost song set!
Toy Story 2 (2-Disc Special Edition) (1999) (19.99) - Remastered, outtakes, deleted scenes, commentary. Simply one of the best movies ever!
Great Scary Movies (The Terror / House On Haunted Hill / Night Of The Living Dead) (2000) (5.98) - A Castle, a Corman, and a Romero for six bucks!
Magnum, P.I. - The Complete First Season (1980) (36.99) - One of my all-time favorite shows! Two buddies, a hawaiian beach house, beer, and a Ferrari!
Young Frankenstein (Special Edition) (1974) (9.99) - Yes, indeed.
Cult Classics: Earth vs. the Spider/War of the Colossal Beast (1958) (9.99) - Two great flicks for under ten bucks!
Boy that was fun. Probably won’t make another DVD purchase until my next birthday.
Any other Amazon spending spree stories? Recent DVD purchases you’d like to share?
Thanks for listening

Welcome to the boards, Captain!
I enjoy using m z*n too (I don’t want to sound like a commercial). As a single chap, I have more disposable income than yourself, so I have all the European versions of:
The West Wing
Law and Order
CSI
All these series show how well the US can do TV series with plots!
Instead of car chases and shootouts, we see how intelligent people do their jobs.
I also got the extended edition of ‘The Lord of the Rings’. Many hours of interest, with all the extra scenes and masses of enlightening commentary.
And where else could I find videos of Rugby Union 7-a-side?
My most recent purchases, which have yet to arrive, are: The Muppet Movie , The Great Muppet Caper , and I Spit On Your Grave .
I can just picture some box-packer going, “Man, what the hell is going on in that house?”
