Me?
Well, I was so happy to find the “Carry On” collection at Best Buy!
I haven’t seen those films since I was a kid in Oz.
That Kenneth Williams is a stitch!
Oh, yeah…I also bought “Good Times - The Complete First Season.”
DYN-O-MITE!!

I finally bought Brazil and I must say it is great. I am also waiting for The Godfather, Mesa of Lost Women, Glen Or Glenda, Night of the Ghouls from Amazon.
I got Brazil and Star Trek Nemesis for Father’s Day. My son has watched Nemesis with me twice but I havn’t found time to watch Brazil yet since noone will watch it with me.
My last DVD purchase was Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Season 4.
Aren’t there something like 15 Carry On films? Wow.
I ordered The Matrix yesterday.
This is Spinal Tap. I hardly ever buy DVDs. I only own about 6 (7 if you count my double copy of True Stories).
Throne of Blood should be arriving soon from Amazon.com.
Before that, it was Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season 4. I’d thought I wasn’t going to buy that one, since I didn’t like the season as a whole, but then I remembered it had three of my favorite episodes of the whole series: “Superstar,” “Hush,” and “Restless.”
(And before that, it was Adaptation.)
Well, I’m not sure how many there are in their entirety, but the collection I bought included 12 movies, not including the bonus disc “That’s Carry On,” which is more or less a best of.
I don’t believe that is the complete series, though.
I want MORE!
Hilarious!
Brotherhood of the Wolf. I love that absurd, insane movie more each time I watch it.
Buffy Season 4 and Rocky Horror Picture Show
On DVD, the Six Feet Under First Season.
Last week I bought Men in Black II, American Pie II, Goldmember, and Kissing Jessica Stein on VHS. Hollywood was having a 4 for $20 sale on previously viewed movies. It was all about the sequels.
The last one I bought myself was The Rocketeer, but my brother got me The Shield Season One box set for my birthday in March. It’s been a while! I have so many DVDs on my want list, too!
Miller’s Crossing and Barton Fink, both materpieces, and the criterion edition of Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas ( not my favorite Gilliam, but it has its moments and although I haven’t listened to this one yet, his commentaries are always excellent ).
Oh and Zardoz for $8. Sean Connery with a ponytail, a diaper, and a gun - How can you go wrong :D?
I bought Training Day for $6 on eBay a few days back.
Give me about an hour or so and that will be out of date as I’m going to wander over to eBay after reading the messages hear.
MILLER’S CROSSING. What an excellent movie.
Also, does anyone know a place to order used dvd’s? Not from individual users like ebay (the shipping on all the separate items can become absurd), but a centralized outlet where I can buy a bunch in one order and one shipping charge.
Terminator 2: Extreme Edition
Picked up a bunch of low-priced new-n-used DVDs from Amazon recently – Rush Hour, Rush Hour II, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, and South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut.
I suppose Cartman’s use of “V-Chip Fu” would make them qualify as sharing a martial arts theme…
It’s been ages since I last bought one. I think it was Amores Perros (Love’s a bitch)
For me it was a couple of my all-time favorite movies: Miracle Mile ($10 at Best Buy) and Sneakers ($10 at Fred Meyer).
Best $20 I’ve spent in a while…
