I am used to having these discussions on various forums that are not soley for political use, and therefore providing citations for every point you make was not common practice in my mind.
I understand that it is my position to conform to this new set of standard, especially if I am to be welcomed here. Make no mistake, I have only been a member for 3 hours yet I can tell this is one of the best political discussion forums I have ever seen and I hope to make this place my “home” if you will.
A forewarning: If we are ever discussing foreign relations, policy, etc etc especially about the Middle East, I may not have citations for many of the points I make. I was honored enough to work in Army Counter-Intelligence for more than a decade before retiring in that neck of the woods, so as you could understand my views will be based on person experience (by that, I do not mean simply what I saw with my filtered eyes, but what I have heard from local military, citizens, etc). I will do my best to keep that hogwash out of the debates, but forgive me in advance if I become heated and therefore have a momentary lapse of judgement.:smack:

You really have to start learning how to read the posts my son. I said that when we are specifically talking of the situations in the middle east, then yes I MAY let my personal experiences there rear it’s ugly head, for which I apologize in advance. You dont have to trust me, this is the internet so there is no way to prove my personal experiences, no way to prove I worked in said field, and even no way to prove I was even in the military. Take what I say with a grain of salt if you must. I know its true, so thats all that really matters to me.
Yes, “a” does apply. I wrote that for another site, http://www.elitefitness.com/ but I have since been banned because one of the moderators does not agree with my political stance, and therefore like the ignorant fool he is he chose to banish me, hence me coming here after advice from a pal.
Actually, I don’t believe you were in the military. You can, though, contact any of the site administrators here and ask about my service. They have my permission to inform you of the facts.
Well, I dont really care what you believe. You are just a name to me. Also, I dont really care if you were in the service or not. I and the people who I know and care about (even people from the board I used to frequent) know what I have done and what I have accomplished, which I can safely say is more than yourself.
I wont be contacting anyone, because your past service (which, for all I know, was a mechanic in the National Guard) really doesnt mean anything to me.

As for cites, you’ll be nit picked to death for cites no matter how well you do it. Cite as best you can, and good luck, have fun, and never back down from this point on.
I’d reccomend you not jumping in to Great Debates so soon, The Republican. It’s a jungle in here. Post on any other board (MPSIMS, General Questions) and lurk (read threads without commenting) to get an idea of how discussions are run.
Also, read the sticky threads, FAQs, and About This Message Board Board to be more familiar with how things work around here.
I’d guess that you came into the board not knowing how it works, and you got torn to shreds. It happens, and don’t let it turn you off from the boards.
