I was at my parents house for dinner and my mother asked if I wanted to sleep over. I debated it for a minute and decided I’d rather sleep in my own bed. Good thing too. I came home to find my bedroom full of smoke. The power supply on my PC, which is always running, burnt out and looked ready to ignite. Lucky timing on my part.

I knew there was a reason I habitually turn off my computer when not in use.
My ex roommate had this happen, he had gotten a bit drunk, went to bed, and woke up to the alarm at 3am with his room full of smoke. The hard drive had popped a chip and shorted the 5v line to ground, the power supply didnt pop its breaker, and it burnt.
Fry
