My baby dry-humps like a MF

Heh, knew that’d get you in.

Anyway, as I’ve mentioned pretty much constantly, I have 4 y/o & 1.5 y/o sons. Who are my joy and my absolute favorite male critters in the world.

For the last week or so, either my husband or I will catch the baby dry-humping on a blanket. In the beginning it just made me laugh, but now it’s kinda disturbing. He gets quite upset if stopped and is unabashed about it, though it mostly occurs in his room. Doesn’t matter is his brother is there, or if we walk in the room; he just keep a’going.

I called him a “horndog” yesterday and he laughed at me. This is my baby!

Has anybody else (please, please, please) experienced this in their child? Did it subside? Am I doomed to having a little masterbater? You most certainly can’t scold a child of this age, can you? I really don’t want to have him hide (again, he’s 1.5) and then have a sexual deviant on my hands as he ages, ya know?

My brother did it as a little child (toddler age), but has grown out of humping the floor.

I’ve no idea, and don’t want to know if he’s continued his habit in an “alternative” fashion.

Nothing wrong with having an active “self-love life,” as long as you’re not doing it in the Little Miss department of the local department store.

Don’t worry about it, and for heaven’s sake don’t call him names! Basically, he’s doing what comes naturally, and he’s even doing it in the privacy of his own room! You will not be able to stop him, short of scaring or shaming him. Baby boys get erections in the uterus, and baby girls love to masturbate on their diapers.

This too shall pass. Not the masturbation - that never stops - but your embarrassment and viewing of it. When he’s just a little older (3 or 4) you can have a quick chat about how that feels good, and everyone does it, but it’s a private thing, and he shouldn’t do it when other people are around. For now, just ignore it.

So much for a “latency period”.

Yeah, that’s more a Sporting Goods thing.

See, and I would’ve said Ladies Lingerie. Shows what I know.

This is funny. Judging by what I’ve seen, girls dry hump too. Its kind of funny when you lay down on the couch and your three year old tries to hump your leg. All you can do is get up or change your position without acknowledging that you know what the hell is going on. I think there is a limit to parent-child openness . You see I was a kid once and I can remember dry humping on the floor thinking no one around me would notice. Its quite embarrassing now to think about it because I’m certain I must have been quite obvious.

My middle daughter was younger than two when she started masturbating. She wasn’t humping anything, but masturbation is definitely what was going on. I explained to her that, while it’s an okay thing to do, it’s a private, personal thing and should be confined to her bedroom or the bathroom or somewhere else private. For a while, she’d ask me to stay out of the living room for a while! Some children are amazingly young when they discover that this sort of self-stimulation feels good.
