My Bacon Number is Three! -- Sorta

In that game of "Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon, I’ve got a Bacon Number of Three.

Well, sort of. Since I’ve never been in a movie, it’s hard to have a Bacon number of anything besides infinity.

But if you stretch it to include Stage plays as well as movies, then I’m in. Amateur theater, that is.

When I was in college, I was in two Musical Theater Guild production with Erland van Lidth de Jeude http://www.imdb.com/Name?van+Lidth%2C+Erland

and little Erland has a Bacon number of Two
http://oracleofbacon.org/cgi-bin/oracle/movielinks?firstname=Kevin+Bacon&game=1&secondname=van+Lidth%2C+Erland&using=1

so that gives me a Bacon number of three. That’s better than some actors I know of, like Bud Collyer:

Cool! You’re one ahead of me (if TV shows are counted).

Hey, I have a Bacon number of three, also.
I used to work with Lea Thompson’s sister. The Oracle says: Lea Thompson has a Bacon number of two. Lea Thompson was in Article 99 (1992) with Keith David. Keith David was in Novocaine (2001) with Kevin Bacon.

I too have a bacon # of 3. I once took some photos of actress Heather Prete, she was in The Secret (2000) with Lusia Strus, Lusia Strus was in Stir of Echoes (1999) with Kevin Bacon.

My SO has a Bacon Number of 3.

He was in a low-budget indie film with Noble Willingham called The Corn Dog Man. (Don’t ask. You can rent it in Blockbuster. Horrible!) Noble Willingham was in City Slickers II: The Legend of Curly’s Gold (1994) with Pruitt Taylor Vince. Pruitt Taylor Vince was in Trapped (2002) with Kevin Bacon.

So, in a 6 degrees of Separation kind of thing, I am 4 people away from Kevin Bacon.

Another #3 here. I met Cliff Robertson back in '75, and his number is 2.

I’ve never been in any movies or TV shows, and I can’t remember the names of any of the professional singers in any of the operas I was in (as a supernumerary - like an extra in movies), so you have to allow me to use family relationships.

My wife is Debbie Reynolds’ first cousin, and Debbie Reynolds has a Bacon number of 2. I guess that gives me a Bacon number of 4, unless I have to count the steps through my wife’s mother to her brother to his daughter (D. R.).

Using a much more tenous relationship, I can get a Bacon number of 3. Albert Brooks has a Bacon number of 2. He co-wrote, directed, and starred in a movie called Lost in America. Although the IMDb doesn’t say so, a few of the exteriors were shot in the town of Safford, Arizona, including a city limit sign or other highway sign identifying the town. Safford is the town where I lived from 1950 to 1966. (No, I don’t think it would be fair for everyone who lives in New York or LA to give themselves a low Bacon number, but Safford only has a population of about 5,000, so that should count, right?)

Wow, I’m a #3 too.

I’ve met Majel Barrett (aka: Nurse Chapel[sup]TM[/sup]).

I should have previewed, so that I would have seen FairyChatMom’s post. If “met” counts, I have met Debbie Reynolds, and that gives me a Bacon number of 3.

Actually, your Bacon number is 2

You (CalMeachem/Rex Reason) were in Storm Over Tibet with Diana Douglas

Diana Douglas was in Planes, Trains and Automobiles with KB.

Well, whaddya know, I have a Bacon number (sort of) of 2.

In high school I acted with Christine Cavanaugh who appeared in Balto with Kevin Bacon.

My claim to fame…appearing on stage with the voice of “Babe”.

It appears if you allow Television appearaces I too have a Bacon number of Three

I was on Say What Karaoke (MTV) when they were in Seaside Heights 4 years ago.

Cason Daly was one of the hosts

Carson Daly was in Joe Dirt (2001) with Rance Howard
Rance Howard was in Apollo 13 (1995) with Kevin Bacon

If extra work counts I have a Bacon number of Two

I was an extra in some stadium scenes of Anger Management (still in production) staring Jack Nicholson .

Jack Nicholson was in Few Good Men, A (1992) with Kevin Bacon

Did anyone besides me think this was about how many bacon strips one preferred with breakfast?

Three.

Last semester, I took a class taught, in part, by Harrison Schmitt.
Harrison Schmitt was in For All Mankind (1989) with Jim Lovell
Jim Lovell was in Apollo 13 (1995) with Kevin Bacon

In that case, I have a bacon number of 50.

Every way that I can think to do it, I come up with a 4.

My cousin is friends with Kevin Spacey, Mare Winningham, and Val Kilmer, each of them have a #2 rating.

I am a friend of a friend to a couple of people who know Trey Parker, Matt Stone, and Dian Bachar, who all were in BASEketball with someone who also starred in Hollow Man with Mr. Bacon.

I am sure there is some way that I could lower my number, but it’s not immediately coming to mind.

My other(breakfast) bacon number is somewhere in the infinate range.

If I’m figuring this right, I have a Bacon Number of 2. The dotcom I used to work for sponsored his brief musical career with his brother whatshisname. While the Bacon Brothers were on tour, most of the staff met them. I didn’t, but I was still directly associated with the people who financed their US tour and distributed their CD.

If extras count, mine is 2. I was an extra for D2: The Mighty Ducks, which featured Katheryn Erbe, who was in Stir of Echoes with Bacon.

I have a Bacon number of 2 through several different actors. My number may be even smaller if you count film crew (my SO works in film and I know that we know people who’ve worked with him.)… I’ll keep you updated if the number goes down…

2 here. I was in a whitewater rafting docu with Meryl Streep’s stunt double for The River Wild.
