My birthday present

Everyday I walk past this barbershop. It has a description of a “Shaving Ceremony” in the window.

I have coveted it for many years. I have shaved this face for over 50 years. And I thought it would be a great present for my birthday.

Today I did it! It was incredible! I like a close shave. It was closer than my Mach 3. Smooth as a babies butt!

Started off with a hot towel wrap. Then the shave. Followed with an icy wrap.

For an hour, I was a king!

Anyone else experienced this?

I may do it again.

I’m a woman, so no, but I wanted to report that a friend treated himself to a real straight razor for his 50th. I can’t imagine he will ever go back to regular razors.

My friend is getting her husband a gift certificate for his birthday for a barbershop as you described. We were talking one evening and he was saying how it was something he would really enjoy.
