Today is my 62nd birthday.
It is also the day that I officially retire from the rat race. Starting next month, I will receive Social Security benefits–money for doing nothing, ain’t that grand?
Retirement: Gloat, gloat, gloat and happy dance!

Congratulations, Louis! Manny happy returns.
Happy Birthday and Happier Retirement!! Will you live a life of leisure and travel now, or will you sit on the stoop and grumble about kids these days??
**Happy Birthday Louis !!! **
Happiest of Birthday’s, LouisB, and congratulations on your retirement!
May both be all you desire…any particular plans?

Happy birthday Louis, enjoy your life of leisure you deserve it.
Thanks for the good wishes. We don’t have any real travel plans as yet, because Marcie is still working. We are shopping for a new van, with the idea of some weekend camping trips, but that is kind of still up in the air.
I expect a lot of my “free” time will be taken up by Marcie’s paint the house scheme—we’ll see.
C’mon, Louis, get your priorities straight! Surely your main occupation in retirement will be boosting your post-count.
Congrats, btw.
Congratulations Louis, I hope it’s everything you want it to be.
Eight more years sigh
Hi Louis! It’s my husband’s birthday today, too, but he is nowhere NEAR retirement age, even though he talks about retiring all the time.
Okay, I just have to post this: Marcie went out last Sunday afternoon (yes, Easter Sunday) and bought a brand spanking new Dodge Ram Conversion Van—so I guess the Van Plan wasn’t as up in the air as I thought it was. I guess the weekend camping trips will come to pass after all. What a babe, wife, companion and friend she really is.
Congratulations, Happy Birthday, and Happy Camping!
