My sister in law is in the hospital and it does not look good. I won’t go into details, they aren’t necessary, except to say that her brain had been deprived of oxygen for a significant amount of time and now all they can do is wait until Thursday afternoon to do anymore tests.
Realistically, we know it’s just a waiting game. But I am praying for a miracle. My Wicca friends are casting healing spells. My religious friends are mentioning her in their prayers.
For purposes of anonymity, I will dub her “anySIL” if any of you wish to pray for her as well.
My brother, altho numb, is mentally in a good space. He has no regrets, no guilt to attone for. I, however, need to obtain closer for stuff from many years ago. But that’s my issue.
The odd thing, I was home with a headcold Monday, and took a nap in the afternoon. I dreamed a friend’s cherished kitty died. In the dream I sobed uncontrollably, and when I woke up, I was still crying. (this is extremely unusual for me) (I scooped Smokey up and hugged the purr right out of her. She stayed away from me for a few hours after that) My brother called me yesterday to tell me what had happened Monday afternoon. In retrospect, had I sensed it? or was it a premonition?
I’m so sorry anyrose. I hope your SIL recovers and you and your brother find peace.

I’ll pray that God’s will be done for anySIL, and for the rest of the family too. And as I always say, don’t neglect your own health. Sleep enough, eat right, you are all going to need all the strength you can get.
