That is a crime against both cod and bacon.
Blue (black and white domestic shorthair) is the exact opposite, he loves the cheap crap food like meow mix, and turns his nose up at the good stuff, like Canidae and Blue buffalo, however I found a high end dry kibble today that he seems to love, Rawz it’s the only brand he asked for seconds from, and I think he appreciates the smaller and flatter kibble sizes, he’s an older cat, and seems to have difficulty with the bigger chunks of Meow, even though his teeth and gums look healthy…
Get another cat…
Having grown up on a farm, I love the difference between cats. Our house cat was as fussy as Morris, while the four barn cats would hunt and kill a cow if possible.
Whats the rule about Cat threads?

I would like to see cat literally snubbing his nose at food!
My cats would always just look at me with the same righteous indignation when they got something they didn’t like.
I bought a bag of dry kibble for the beasties a few weeks ago meant to help with digestive issues. Mayme and Dot hated it. At first, I thought if they were hungry enough, they’d suck it up. Then I noticed my bread noshed on, a bag of tortilla chips opened, and a dirty frying pan from hamburger licked clean. I acquiesced and bought a bag of their old stuff (chicken and rice), mixing them together in the Tupperware container we store their food in.
Every morning for the past week, one of them (Mayme, I’m almost certain) has tipped over their bowl and eaten just the old brand, leaving the new brand scattered all over my kitchen floor.
Iams makes a lamb and rice cat food. Wet and dry.
When I adopted Sandy, the agency recommended a grain free food. I bought it for about a year. One day, I only had enough for one cat. I pulled out the year old ziplock of Iams that I used to feed Lizzy and filled up the other bowl. Later that day, the Iams was gone and the grain-free untouched. I switched the bowls, put in more Iams, and the next morning the Iams was gone and the grain-free untouched. I buy Iams now.
Some years back, I was giving my cat Trader Joe’s house brand wet food. It’s a paste-type food. After a while she turned her nose up at it, so I switched to Friskies. But I didn’t buy just one flavor; I figured she’d get tired of that too. Instead, I get two different flavors and alternate them. Since she eats one can per day, she’s getting chicken one day and beef the next. She hasn’t gotten tired of them yet.
These are a meat-in-gravy-type and she always licks all the gravy up before eating the meat. I also include a small amount of dried food on top of the wet. I’ve been told too much dried food can lead to weight gain (too much like refined sugar). This seems to be right. At one time I mostly gave her dried food with just a lttle wet and she was overweight. Then I was told the above so I switched proportions. She lost about half a pound in 6 months and then stabilized at a healthy weight.
Anyway, I suggest everyone give their cats more variety in their diet and avoid (probably) the turned up nose.
