My cat may have cancer.

I’m so sorry. :frowning:

I lost my five-year-old Russian Blue to cancer a couple of years ago. I know how hard it can be to lose a beloved friend, and to make the right decision when the time comes.

My thoughts are with you.

i’m so sorry. it is a tough time and a tough decision.

Sorry to hear it, Guin. We had a similar experience and had to put down our 19 year old baby kitty last week.

Mom had Misty put to sleep this morning. I found out when I came home from work-she couldn’t wait until I got home-our poor dear was just in too much pain.

Sorry-double post!

Oh that’s awful. My dog is on her last legs and I would feel even worse about her upcoming death if I wasn’t there when she is put to sleep.

I’m so sorry to hear of Misty’s passing. :frowning:

Thank you, all of you, for your condolences. I guess it just hasn’t sunk in yet. I keep thinking that, “Maybe I should find Mit before I go to bed.” (She’ll come in with someone for a bit, cuddle, then take off, and then come back and forth.)

Or I’ll go in my parents’ room, and see Gypsy laying there, and wonder where Mit is.

For the record, I am really sorry that your cat passed away.

I’ll ask you to tell us a nice story about before the cat past.

My favorite came from when she was a kitten. The first day we brought her home, she was a snugly little thing. I was laying on the sofa, and she was on my chest. She insisted on getting right up under my chin, to the point where my neck started to ache. But if I moved her, she got right back up.

Then a few months later, our older cat, Fluffy (who lived to be sixteen), was in the hospital, (turns out she had a severe tooth infection), and I was upset, since we didn’t know what was wrong yet. I was upstairs laying on the bed, and she came in and started licking my nose.

Misty was oblivious most of the time. She’d sit with her tail in the sink, and never notice. She liked to have someone put the faucet on very lightly, and use it as a water fountain. Or she liked to lay on the washer/dryer when it was agitating (spell?)-we called it her vibrating bed.

She was still very snuggly when she got older-her thing was she’d come in with you while you were in bed, cuddle for say, about ten, fifteen minutes. Then all of a sudden, she’d just stop purring, and take off.

She was probably the most outgoing-she liked strangers, and she was always in the middle of things.

Thanks.
