My cousin was killed by a drunk driver last night.

So sorry, Alice…

My sympathies, Alice.

Alice, I’m so sorry. Things like this just have no reason to happen. I don’t drink often, and when I do, I NEVER drive. We’re all sorry for your loss, Alice :frowning:

Hugs, Alice. Did they catch the creepzoid?

I’m in.

Alice, I am so sorry.

:frowning:
That’s both terribly sad and enraging - how can people still be drinking and driving?
My condolences to you and the rest of the family.

My thoughts and prayers are with you Alice. I’m dearly sorry. My cousin was killed by a drunk driver a few years back. I know your pain.

My condolonces.

Thanks for all the kind words guys.

Man this is a crap day. Driving to work I passed a dead dog on the road and started bawling my face off.

My poor beau was horrified when I got here and took me for breakfast.

I’m sure I have a pit rant in me somewhere, but I just don’t have the heart for it right now.

I’m very sorry to hear about your loss, Alice. My condolensces and prayers.

I’m just…so sorry. More than I can say. I doubt it’s any comfort to you, but I can truthfully say that my friends & I are & always have been absolutely steadfast about having a designated driver.

I’ll soon be finishing my classroom observation hours with some 11th & 12th graders (I’m a secondary education minor). I didn’t think of it before, but now I’ll certainly stick a “And one more thing… You little buggers better not ever even contemplate drinking and driving!” comment into my goodbyes.

Alice,

My sympathy to you & your family.

I often volunteer to be the DD and will continue to do so.

The most talented musician in my high school was killed almost one year after he graduated by a drunk. We found out on our senior trip. I can still see Mr. Dickson standing at the front of our tour bus, trying to tell us what happened. All he managed to get out was, “We’ve lost…” and then he broke down in tears and was taken off the bus by one of the other chaperones. It was only the first or second day of the trip, and it put a dark cloud over what should have been a very fun time. I regret that I have no recordings of his music.

alice, I hope that you will share with all of us your memories of your cousin. To my mind, the only thing worse than dying, is being forgotten. E-mail me if you need an ear to chew on.

i’m so sorry for your loss. my thoughts are with you and yours.

i’m so sorry, alice.

may her memory be eternal.

I’m sorry. I hope the driver gets what he or she deserves.

I’m very sorry for your loss.

It’s about time the United States starts to seriously think about a zero tolerance policy with regards to drinking and driving.

Not just drunk driving. And not .10, not .08, not .05, but if you consume any liquor, you do not drive. I believe at least one of the Scandinavian counties have that law on the books.

I’m so sorry Alice. :frowning: I agree with you that this never has to happen and should never happen. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. And I promise no drinking and driving here either.

I’m so very sorry. I never let anyone drive after drinking, and my resolve to continue that is strengthened. I wish that there was more that could be said. ((((((((Alice))))))))

I lost a step-brother two years ago in a similarly senseless way. The most important thing you can do is remember to keep putting one foot in front of the other, one day at a time.

I am so sorry for your loss.
