My current obsession: SkyCards! Anyone else play?

I’ve been at this for a bit longer than most of you here, having joined in Mar2025, but here’s where I’m at…

Level: 32

Trophies: 33

Aircraft: 989

Airports: 1890

Fleets: 873

My three rarest aircraft are the Temco Buckaroo (18.22), the Alvarez Polliwagen (16.02), and the Scheibe SF-27M (a motor glider, 15.81).

I thought it might be a fun challenge to get all the airports that are episodes of Cabin Pressure, but we’d have to stretch the definitions a bit. The airport in Ipswich closed in 1998.

I need 21 more types to get the Scarce trophy. I have 2 flights for the Long-Hauler trophy, and will have the third in an hour or so.

Just caught one of these near LAX; had to use a radar extender to get to it.

Got it. Thanks for the heads up.

The Flightradar blog is also a good way to locate specific aircraft. Just caught a 747 near Munich thanks to finding the entry via Google.

:+1:

And also belated thanks to @Dorjan, I have a silver Ghost Bat now that has done well for me in battles.

Finally completed my first Daily Missions!

Bell 206 somewhere in California, 747 over Germany, one jet traveling at exactly 500 knots in my home area and went to Long Island for the other two.

And I got my first bronze with a Bell GlobalRanger.

Caught 3 different police choppers over Baltimore. I wonder what’s going on.

Some kind of vintage, WWII reunion over southern England today. I’ve caught…

Tiger Moth
Fairey Swordfish
Bristol Blenheim
Hawker Sea Fury
P-51
and 4 Spitfires

Or is this just a normal Saturday around those parts?

Daughter reports some sort of air show around Baltimore; unclear if it is ongoing. Osprey in the area.

I don’t think I’ll be very keen. I’ve already got one, you see.

The tip about traveling more and about southern England worked out well for me this morning: I spent a free travel token plus bought a 30-minute infinite camera, and traveled to London Heathrow.

I picked up some great planes, like a Spitfire, Tiger Moth, and P-47 Thunderbolt, plus tons of Fleets and Airports I’d likely never get in the USA.

Southern England is pretty consistently awesome on Saturdays and Sundays.

I missed the P-47, but went back in the afternoon and caught a P-38.

I missed the LAX-to-Singapore flight yesterday, but caught it today. Might not be possible to the the ten-longest-flights trophy for a while; I think some of them aren’t running this time of year.

Just wait til Qantas launches Project Sunrise. 22 hours at a go.

Autogyro northwest of Hollywood-Burbank.

Bell 206 near Oakland if anyone needs it for daily missions.
