Another time waster fun online game -- air traffic controller

Here ya go.

You basically click on a plane and draw its course to one of two runways. The good news is that the planes are extremely maneuverable, and the games is very easy to learn. But the volume will overwhelm you.

1 point for each safe landing. The best I’ve done so far is 60.

Got this game on my phone. Fun little time waster, I think.

I got up to 50 once. Could do better but every single time I click something while trying to prevent a crash, the game selects the wrong aircraft.

Yeah, I’m getting that a lot, and end up dragging one plane right into another.

Crap, I accidentally killed the President.

This thing is brilliant (and addictive) on the ipad and iphone. I feel they work much better on a touchbad than with a mouse. Check youtube to see people making 6000 (or more) on iphones :o

18 and then inferno of death. Fuck 'em. In the real world pilots need permission to enter Bravo airspace, I can’t be held responsible.

Nah, it’s the Presidential pilots. Apparently they’re all cowboys.

I think this must be more fun on a touchscreen platform. I’m not a big fan of click-and-drag games to begin with, and they’re awful to control on a laptop touchpad.

For a different style of play, I always liked this air traffic control game. It’s a less arcadey approach, with extremely basic graphics. It’s easy to understand, but surprisingly difficult to pull off despite not being as fast-paced.

I found that one too. I like it a lot, but it’s really more of a ground traffic control game rather than air traffic.

“No other ATC simulation provides such utterly realistic radar behaviour right to your PC”? What about an ATC simulation that had been used to train real-life controllers?

Finally finished the third level. (Final salary was $152,000, if anyone wants to compare.) For something that moves so slowly, it’s surprisingly tricky.

Hell’s bells! I remember playing something very similar on a ZX81, nearly 30 years ago.

I prefer this one (of the two) but it really needs a “speed up time” function…

Yeah I play this on my Android phone and it’s a lot of fun. Imagine it would be ideal on a smallish tablet like the Galaxy Tab.

All this reminds me that I forgot to tape Pushing Tin last time I was at my parents’ :smack:

Awesome game, this will keep me entertained for the next couple hours at work  … my best is 33 so far.

I call bullshit on Air Force 1 landing every 2 minutes

I also call bullshit on planes entering RIGHT where another plane is passing, so that they crash the moment they’re on the screen. However, the game gets a lot easier once you realize that planes won’t crash if they hit each other on the runways.

I’m up to 65.

Current high: 92

Goal: 100

I’m up to 70, mostly I think because I hit a long streak with no helicopters.

Also, I’ve had 2 Air Force Ones in the air at once, which ought to be unpossible.
