I had caught an Antonov AN-12 just a few days ago, but I figured my best bet was to snoop around Russia during the daylight hours with a “Catch Anywhere” handy, and I was able to snag an AN-148 there this morning.
I could have been patient, but you never know with these things!

There’s an Iberian Air A350-900 (tail number EC-NDR) going from Madrid to Buenos Aires which will be within radar range of Tenerife shortly if you’re still looking for the other half of that.
Do they always select from a small group pf cities for those missions? I haven’t even been playing for a month and I’ve already been to Singapore, Tokyo, and Madrid.
Thanks to advice in this thread I have been doing a bit more traveling. A couple of days ago I hit CAN/Goanzhou where I picked up many new fleets and a fair number of cities (mostly in China), but also unintentionally completed that airport’s tasks, so I have a few more days of traveling there for free.
I researched what were the busiest airports in the world in terms of international flights, and IST/Istanbul was way up there. Today I visited at noon EDT and indeed it was a cornucopia of exotic destinations and new fleets. I missed completing its six tasks by just one aircraft.
In both of these cities I rarely added a new aircraft, maybe a half dozen across both, but worth it for the new airports.
I’m up to 515 airports and 223 fleets. Aircraft models stable at around 400.
Phoenix is a pretty good choice in the States. Miami, DFW, O’Hare, and SeaTac all come to mind. Colorado Springs could get you some good military aircraft.
Did anyone notice that they adjusted the rarity? The 737-800 used to be worth 1130 XP and is now worth 1140, the A350-900 and A330-300 were both adjusted slightly, and the Ultra craft got a big shakeup… what used to be my rarest craft is now my 19th-rarest!
Curious of the value of the Ford Trimotor – wikipedia says 8 are airworthy, but the EAA one flies quite a bit. There must be a bunch that only fly during Airventure
