My doctor is missing

I went to my doctors for a repeat perscription of the pill, which I got. Later I checked my phone and found out the doctor wanted me to call him. Which I did. Turned out he’d gone home for the day. They asked me to call him back tomorrow afternoon. Which I did. He was with someone so he couldn’t come to the phone. I phoned AGAIN and this time the receptionist didn’t even bother to answer the phone.

Would you bother to phone back a 4th time?

I just phoned again. Better make that -

would you call a 5th time?

I’d leave a message asking for him to call you back. It does kind of turn it into a game of tig, but it’s clearly going to be difficult for you to call at a time when he’s free.
