My dog Sasha is gone

Well, thanks for making me cry.
{{{{{{{{{{Archergal}}}}}}}}}}l
She picked you to live with, out of all the people on the planet.
Nothing is ever lost. Not the tiniest monent.
There is no death, she is your friend forever, and you will meet again.
Can’t prove or cite any of the above but I know it.
Hugs.

Ooooooouuuuuuu!

Ben the Sheltie, emilyforce, and mr. emilyforce send you a big puppylove howl.

TPWombat, she did literally choose us. She followed us into the kitchen while we were talking to try to decide on which puppy to get. She stayed with us till we chose her.

Thank you for reminding me the nothing is lost… that’s a good thing to remember.

I’m going to put a memorial for her up on my web page soon.

Archergal - I’ve lost two best friends, and have two senior citizen dogs right now. The only way I can think of it is that the amount of pain you feel is in direct proportion to the love you gave and received. Not a bad pbargain, in my opinion. We should all try to be the people our dogs think we are.

Thanks, StGermain! That really helps me too! Damn! You made me cry…

I’ve got some pictures of Sasha up on my home page.

Sasha’s page

She was a pretty girl, sure enough, Archergal. I thank you for sharing the pictures and for sharing your happiness while she was with you and Robert. How very fortunate y’all were to have had her in your lives for a little while.

So sorry to hear that Sasha died. Still miss Copper the amazing beagle, who died at the ripe old age of 5. Stupid cancer. :frowning:

Keep your chin up. Once some time passes, remember that there are lots of dogs out there that need a good owner like you. Can’t replace Sasha, but the right dog sure can fill a void.

Right, Buddy? (He tapped his tail which indicates agreement.)

What a beautiful tribute to your best friend.

God Bless,

Ruby

Archergal, I’m very sorry to hear that. My parents have had to put two of their three Cairn Terriers to sleep over the last couple years. It’s not something that gets easier the more you do it, either.

Sasha is no doubt in Puppy Heaven, wagging her tail at you from above.

bittersweet, she didn’t actually have a tail, but she was always a “hula butt” for us.

Thanks, guys.

Aww hell, she had to be a border collie. That really hits home for me, though mines not a tri.

either never had a dog,
or never had a soul.
