My DVD burner is full? it won't recognize that there is a disc in the drive. What Up?

When I right click on the DVD drive is says that it is full,not the disc because there is no disc, is there something that I need to empty?

I didn’t know that they held info.

how can I get it to work?

If you double-click the drive letter, is there anything listed as “files ready to be written”?

Thanks for the note, no it opens a window: DVD-RW (D:) but it is empty, when I try to burn something using Nero or Record Now it says please insert a blank disc. I have opened new packs just to make sure that they are blank and they are.

Is there a cache to clear or anything?
