My ex boss had three pictures of his wife in a bikini scattered around his office.

Well…well… the bikini pictures seems to be the least of the issues… :dubious:

Are they reminders to one and all that he is married? Did she put them there?

OK… I can’t explain it either…

I know, but I just wanted a feel for what people thought about the pictures without coloring the opinion with all the other stuff.

Seeing more of the overall behavior alters the presumption of simple cluelessness somewhat.

How on earth did that conversation get started?

No kidding! Talk about burying the lead.

What a nut job he sounds like.

The only response to such a thing is to lean in closely when there is no one around and say ‘Can I get some copies of those? Digital is better than print but I will take whatever you’ve got’.Then wink and walk out of them room without saying anything else.

Yes, he’s a nut job. I think he may be Bi-Polar.

The wife and I talked all the time. She was very comfortable around me, so it wasn’t hard for me to ask the question.

And yes, the pictures were a minor issue. Shagnasty, I so wish I’d thought of that! Ha

Hear hear.

In 30 years of business I’ve never seen any such pics in an office.

Once upon a time there were girly calendars in break rooms (called smoko rooms in NZ) and the toilets of blue collar workplaces, but they disappeared years ago.

Never in an office.

I think you should find a different place to work and, once there, make an effort to remain completely ignorant of your boss’s personal life.

It’s not as bad as I feared. I was worried that the blood would have stained the carpet.

I’m a guy and given that the photos are “cheesecake” like the second example, they are inappropriate for the office. One photo of his wife appropriately attired on a beach is OK. 1 or more sexy pictures isn’t.

From the OP:

So presumably, he has found a different place to work.

Yes, ex boss, but trust me, they are the ones who brought the personal into the office.
