Sigh…this won’t mean much to most of you, but those who know and love them and haven’t heard yet will be shocked and disappointed…
Clandestine are breaking up at the end of the year. Read about it here. This sucks. No more crowding into a way-too-small pub and enjoying an overpriced Glenlivet while listening to them play. No more anticipation of the next new CD. No more looking forward to their set at the Texas Scottish Festival.
Damn. This IS bad news. I’ll have to be sure to get out to the Celtic Classic in Bethlehem Pa this fall to see their last hurrahs. Clandestine is a regular and a crowd favorite. One particular lady friend of mine will be highly upset.
I became a fan after hearing a rebroadcast of their appearence on the Glen Mitchell show on 90.1 here in Dallas.
I am greatly saddened that they are breaking up. I am sure to go to the Texas Scottish Festival this year to catch one last performance.
Their website says they’ll stay together at least for the rest of the year, and will do their final couple of months worth of shows in Texas. So, Unix Geek if you can’t catch them at the Games, you’ll have other chances. See you in Arlington…I’ll be the one in the kilt
I’ve heard of them several times, but I’ve never actually seen them play. If I don’t see them before the breakup, some other band will have to take its place as the “band I keep meaning to see yet never get around to it.”
