My pair of 1998 Teva’s have broken! My they rest in peace. They have served me well and taken me many places. The beloved Tevas died in the Target Checkout lane after a 3 mile hike. I know that they waited till I was out of the woods. I will miss these buddies of mine. So comfy, so rugged, so grippy. They served me well during the Harsh wisconsin winters and put up with being warren with two or three layers of socks.
I will Miss ya buddy.
Ooh, sorry man. That’s harsh. I’m really sorry about that.
My sincerest condolences. I, too, have known the pain of the loss of a well-broken in pair of shoes.

Hey, come on, everybody, let’s give this Doper some support! He’s in pain here, and it’s not just because he’s wearing a pair of new boots, either.
Awww…snif…waaah! That is truly sad. You have my heartfelt sympathies here. You do know, don’t you, that you are NOT alone in your grief?! I, too, recently lost a wonderful, dearly beloved pair of shoes. Though, in my case, it was a pair of sandals. After many attempts at repair, it became obvious that their condition was terminal, and they were disposed of in the garbage. I couldn’t bring myself to do it myself, so I asked a friend to do it…
(Bawls eyes out…) We feel your pain!
