Backstory: quite a few years ago my finger got caught in a deadblot. After being stitched up and healing there was still nerve damage that took 3 years to heal – my fingertip gradually stopped feeling like it wasn’t part of me and went back to normal as the nerve healed. The only lasting effects are bad circulation in my fingertip - when it gets cold it goes white very quickly - and I’ve got an interesting scar.
However, over the last week my fingertip has started feeling like it’s permanently asleep. It’s not the same tinglyness all the time, sometimes like now it just feels a little weird, other times it’s quite unpleasant to touch anything with that finger.
Anyway, advice: is this something I should bother seeing a doctor about, or is it too trivial? Is there anything a doctor could they do anything if I did see one?
