I’m not really sure if I should even post this, but fibroadenomas are benign, not uncommon in women under thirty, mobile, and associated with calcification.
Here’s keeping my finger’s crossed that it’s benign.

Sending good benign vibes your way!
Good luck! My mom and I have all kinds of cysts, one of which she got removed but which was totally benign, and one of which I had ultrasounded but ultimately disappeared when I went for the second ultrasound to see if it had gotten bigger.
Also, yay your boyfriend!
Thinking positive thoughts for you - and good for you for staying on top of it.
Sending out big old positive thoughts!
Positive thoughts to you!
My mom had similar lumps and they were all benign. And she said the biopsy didn’t hurt as much as she thought it would.
Thinking benign thoughts for you.
I just had a couple of mammograms and an ultrasound awhile ago, and got a couple of threads out of it, needing follow-up and all. Hell yeah, it’s a nerve racking wait.
Wishing you well, and quickness in all they do.
And here’s another WTF? about your doctor brushing off a lump in your breast.
Hey. Power of positive thought & best wishes. I just got through a scare myself (scars still not 100% healed) so look on the bright side:
If there’s any power that’d be, its got 1000 times more reason to smite me. You should be fine!
Thinking good thoughts for you, **Haze. **
Thanks everyone. I went to get the biopsy today and it was slightly terrifying - I have an inordinate fear of needles to begin with and the biopsy involved two shots of local anesthetic plus what looked and sounded like a tiny hand-held blender being shoved into my boob. I’d thought the anesthetic would make it completely painless but there was still a lot of discomfort during the procedure. But now I’m home with my boobs bandaged within an inch of my life, still a bit drowsy from whatever they shot me up with afterwards.
Results don’t come out til next week. I’ll keep y’all posted. Again, thanks for the good wishes.
Glad it is now over! Sending out more good thoughts!
I can empathize.
I once had a large abscess up under my left shoulder blade. They did a CAT scan, took a long needle and went after it. They promised it wouldn’t hurt. They lied. They couldn’t quite hit the spot so they would do a CAT scan, insert the needle, do a CAT, insert the needle. Finally an older gentleman came in and after a little probing finished the job. I pride myself in being a good patient, but by the time they were done I was crying (and this while pumped full of morphine.) My pride kept me from begging them to stop, but I couldn’t *quite *keep the tears away.
The next day they went after the abscess near my liver. This time when the promised it wouldn’t hurt, they were telling me the truth.
Didn’t see this till just now. Good wishes. Keep us posted.
We’re still thinking of you!
Stay positive & keep the dressings clean. Think about other things & keep yourself busy. This week will fly by. When you get the results back, we want a Happy Dance post though…
That’s scary, but it sounds like odds are on your side, in this case. Sending benign vibes your way.
Have you heard yet?
So, results yet? I’ve heard that pain is not a symptom of breast cancer, so I’m hoping you hear back soon that your lump is nothing to worry about.
Be glad for modern medicine - not so long ago it was standard procedure to anesthetize a woman for breast biopsy and warn her that if the biopsy was positive, she could wake up without a breast! Not. Fun.
Thinking good thoughts for you - I expect everything will be fine.
They were supposed to get back to me yesterday, but they didn’t. I’ll give them until this afternoon and then give them a call.
That kind of seems like a good thing - although frustrating I’m sure.
But if there were something wrong, I’m thinking they wouldn’t be fooling around and you would have heard straight off.
Good luck!
