Hey everybody, I just hit upon an idea after posting my question about website promotion in GQ… why not just tell y’all about my first ever flash movie on here. I’d love some constructive criticism, plus it’s funny 'n stuff.
I can’t say I understand why someone would make a pro-communist Flash movie (or a recreation of a pro-communist movie), but disregarding the content, I’d say that I really like the “old film” effect, with the film streaks, dust, and bouncy images.
A couple of weeks ago, A&E showed a short film from the 60s called ‘Red China: Behind the Bamboo Curtain’. It claimed to be educational but it was really a propaganda piece about how evil and oppressive China was and how you should be praising the almighty for not living there.
I was thinking that I bet they showed the same movies to people in China and Russia, but in those, it was America that was evil and oppressive.
Now you get the satire. I’m sure you feel enlightened… or not.
I thought it was funny, Arken. It’s definately satire, but the background that you posted above helps. I like the “old” look to it, right down to the warbling audio at the beginning!
I kind of figured it was satire, but you never know. I wouldn’t be surprised if someone on this message board really thought that America was the shape of evil and that we should all go communist.
