And I must say if it is true, they deserve it.
I am not very close to these guys, but I know them through my mortgage job, and have known them and their wives for years. Very unexpected and shocking to me.

So these guys would get loans for third parties and then keep some of the loaned money? Or would they charge the third party a “fee?” And what happens to some 87-year-old lady who was the third party? Is she a co-conspirator? Does she have to pay back the loan and interest or can she claim some kind of immunity as a victim?
There’s a special place in hell for those who prey on the elderly.
My mom is 83, and although she won’t believe anything her children tell her, she’ll believe anything some slick con artist tells her. It’s a constant effort to keep her from getting ripped off.
I am not sure **Hypno-Toad ** I am pretty sure for one thing, that they were falsifying income and making the borrower appear to have more than they did, so the borrower could think they are getting a great deal and then have a house payment that was impossible for them to handle, given their REAL income.
(The guy Mr. Persac, drives a new Hummer around and his wife has a new Lexus, they are not used to worrying about money, I guess I know why now.)
Damn straight.
Sounds to me like you needed new friends anyway. Maybe you could hook up with some folks higher up the social ladder. Do you know any puppy rapists?
Point taken. I had no idea they had such low morals. They seemed nice enough, and the use of the word friend was probably not very accurate ( I don’t know where they live or their kids names or other personal stuff, etc. ) I just thought that would make the title of the thread more interesting and relevant, I guess.
I set up their company’s cell phone account a couple of years ago at my old job and then had some business/co workers in common when I entered the mortgage business myself.
So I see them all at loan closing offices and stuff, but I don’t have their cell phone numbers on speed dial or anything.
