Well, I don’t think it’s inherently bad, but a lot of people found it weird that after Steve died, his young daughter was being pushed into the spotlight. She got her own TV show for a while, I think? And she was doing a lot of interviews and stuff. So it kind of feels like, “Let’s milk one dying franchise with another.”
Both Alien and now Predator have sequels that use the plural of the original title. Why not here?

My thoughts exactly. I can’t help but wonder how messed up that kid will be when she’s not that cute anymore and people have forgotten about her and her father.
I also find it a little creepy how much she looks like a smaller version of her father.
You know, I only recently realised the title Free Willy is based on the phrase “free will”.
