My Half-Assed Housekeeper Tip of the Day

Is someone volunteering to do my windows? I live pretty far up in a high-rise…

No worries. I’m the opposite - my house isn’t dirty, but there’s stuff everywhere. I don’t particularly like that, either, but I’m learning to live with it, because I don’t seem to be changing very fast.

Is it possible to have a horizontal suface that doesn’t have stuff piled on it? I didn’t know that.

What’s the point? Aren’t they stuff-holders?

No, they’re decorating opportunitites!

Whoa, picunurse, that is the story of my life.

Too bad I am only 23.
I will be a very entertaining grandmother, I am sure.

I go in cycles and right now I am in my this is how the Judds live. I even have a couch out on my front porch…

I would far far rather do projects than maintenance. I just finished refinishing the porch swing (it’s a big porch)–but the stack o’ papers in here and on the DR table are breeding.
I have no ambition or energy in summer. I blame the heat.

picunurse, that desribes me to a T. Only, with one small modification:

I decide to wash my car, but instead realize I can sit on my ass and NOT wash my car, which will be much easier and lazier than washing my car.

You can do almost every household cleaning task with vinegar or baking soda. Sink, toilets, windows (vinegar), tub, floor, and baking soda will even clean your teeth and sub for laundry detergent in a pinch.
