I started this thread about work insanity. Mouse_Spouse and I are trying to figure out how quickly we can pay down some bills and up our savings in case I find myself in the cheese-line.

The priestess’ effusive and generous compliments
May be the children of cravings for meat.

Strikes with a vengence, but by then you’re dead.
Sugar-sweet compliments lure the unwary
Saccharine eulogy’s sometimes a trap
Ego regards all such stuff as sincerity
But predators bait their breath using such crap.
Rodents take care if you’re tempted to wallow
in odes to you offered by some sharp-toothed smile,
Praise like perfume should be sniffed at, not swallowed,
Take this advice and you’ll live for a while.
