The bottom edges of my blinds are duct taped together. Mr Fat Cat Boom breaks blinds like crazy.
Why can’t they make blinds sturdier? Damnit.
My friend Veruca tells me that Levelor is the number 1 blind.
Blinds are no good with my cats around. In their zeal to see out the window they keep snapping off the stupid slats.
So I made some roman shades for my bedroom windows. I sleep during the day also-it’s nice and dark in there now. And the blind cords run through simple pulleys instead of those stop-and-go mechanisms, much smoother action.
If you ever open them that is.
I hate them. They’re ugly, they collect dust and they get all brittle, and break to pieces. AND then there’s the “don’t open correctly” thing on top of all that.
I like drapes.
