Our 19 year old Mr. Coffee coffee maker just died a few weeks ago. Old kitchen appliances were just made better. Plus they look nicer.

**I wonder how many of you have an Amana Touchmatic Radarange?

I know of at least 4 that are older than dirt and still going strong. They are actually kind of valuable, because many customs kitches had a nook built for them, and modern MWs just don’t fit right. So people will pay a decent bit of cash to get a working radarange that will fit in their hole. **
Good heavens! That’s exactly the same microwave my mother-in-law has!

**Shortly after I moved into my apartment, my dad bought me a microwave oven as a housewarming gift. Since I’m moving, I put the oven with my boxes of stuff, and I can see the back. It was made in September, 1986. Still works fine, too.
[sub]How’s this thread for being “mundane and pointless”?[/sub] **
My microwave was originally my grandfather’s. I inherited it when he died. In 1988. I don’t remember how long he had it before that. I’d check the back for a date, but that sucker is heavy!
Aye! Good thing I had friends to help me load it and unload it! (I can just see myself falling down the stairs with it! )
