This nutball must be related to the person who sent me an anti-Israeli e-mail that included 23 pictures, featuring among other subjects morgue pictures of dead Palastinian children. Untrue. Certain factions of Islam have been militant since the creation of the religion. Ever hear of the “Jihad”? Y’know, the Moors (a Muslim sect) spread their army across all of North Africa and conquered most of Spain? Almost conquered all of Europe? If that’s not “militant”, I don’t know what is.

And it’s because they have lived there the last 400-500 years (maybe more). That makes it their land.

So now you use the same argument to support your cause that earlier in this same thread you denounced. Or was I hallucinating when you said “I think that you should consentrate more about the last century insted of what happend 2000-3000 years ago.” How is that any different than “I think that you should consentrate more about the last century insted of what happend 400-500 years ago.”? It’s still a longer period than several lifetimes… in fact, I should think that would strengthen the Israeli’s cause by virtue of the fact that they were there first.

Anyway, ol’ Quince (what’s next, Water Closet?), it’s been a wacky, bullshit-filled rollercoaster… and I’m glad you got thrown off the tracks. Happy Thanksgiving… we’re giving thanks that you’re gone.

I know it’s the Pit and all, but I just wanted to point out that most Palestinians are actually Sunni Muslims, and Hamas, the Palestinian militant Islamic group, is a Sunni group. There are militant/lunatic Sunnis, and there are moderate Shi’ites. “Sunni” and “Shi’ite” are more like “Catholic” and “Protestant” than “mainstream” and “fundamentalist”.

True enough. That’s a clarification I should have made more explicit. I did say the same thing (in a more roundabout manner) when I said,

the same as the Palestinians(who may or may not be militant in principle, but are feeling a bit put-upon because they think they have more right to the land than the Jews.

At least, that was my intention.
