Anybody know anything about this movie? I’ve found the trailer, but no official site, and nothing on IMDB gives a hint as to a release date. It looks hysterical.
That was outstanding!
Kinda like Galaxy Quest - but with Bruce Campbell!
Damn I’d love to see this. It is one the front page of bruce’s site but with no further info.
“Just you and me, Top Ramen!”
Best. Movie. Ever.
Dude. Thoroughly Awesome. I’d so do Bruce Campbell.
Hmm…suspiciously remniscent of The Three Amigos in terms of storyline… (Still looks cool, though.)
I’ve made a movie in Bulgaria, I’m ready for anything!
Ahahahah, awesome.
Just another example of how every movie is a remake of Seven Samurai.
Eh, the trailer doesn’t thrill me. A little too reminiscent of a poorer Jim Carey-esque ‘comedy’ where he does nothing but mug for the camera and give cheesy and/or self-conscious one-liners.
As someone once said, there’s a fine line between clever and stupid, and Campbell has managed to walk it very well during his career by finding the right amount of sincerity in his otherwise ridiculous roles. This doesn’t look like it will deliver.
Hahahaha… after seeing the trailer I wish I would’ve seen it when he premiered it at the Milwaukee International Film Festival.
Honey, if you really love Bruce, it doesn’t matter. I voluntarily watched Alien Apocalypse and survived. I’m sure this will be a lot of fun. Thanks for alerting me, Tuckerfan.
…I’m not sure how to read this. If there’s some sort of implied insult to **Three Amigos ** in there, you’re dead to me.
Ted Raimi? Is that Sam’s brother?!
Of course. Gets as much work from his brother as Bruce does.
Oh, snap. I never knew that.
I’ll turn in my S-Mart card now…
Everyone sing!
Joxer the Mighty, roams through the countryside…
No, I am not Ted Raimi!
No, the Three Amigos is a fine movie. Not a favorite or anything, but it just seems like an odd one to steal the story line of to make a Bruce Campbell-type film.
And I’d mostly disagree that the Three Amigos is related to the Seven Samurai. Seven Samurai is about the abuse of goodness in the world. Three Amigos is about mistaking movie heroes for the real thing, and the ensuing chaos this causes. If you take any movie that has a hero or a group of heroes being called in to save the day, you’re going to have to go back a looooooot farther than Akira Kurosawa to find the originator. I would have to assume that at least somewhere in the Knights of the Round Table tales, there would be an example, and probably in any other big tale of badasses like the Odyssey or the Ramayana.
It looks good to me. There where a few things I think take away from the goodness of the clip. There should not be Pee Wee Herman music playing.
There had better be some high-quality, sophisticated one-liners in this movie, such as “Gimme some sugar, baby” and “This is my BOOM stick”, or else I’m not going to see it.
Pixar’s underrated A Bug’s Life essentially uses the same plot as well, with traveling circus performers mistaken for town-saving heroes.
