Fighting off the Werewolf (or was it Wolfman?).
“Kid still won’t look me in the eye.”

“Kid still won’t look me in the eye.”
THIS was the highlight for me!
Moment I saw him I said… “Yeaaaaahhh… Walt ain’t coming back to LOST.”
That kid has gone through puberty.
Decent episode. The story wasn’t developed enough. The super hero mask/underwear was cool.
Who’s better at stealing scenes? Randy or Joy?
Randy is excellent as a one note character of walking purity and Earl’s main foil – and his lines come from childlike innocence or completely missing the point of any given situation. He’s a great character and his lines are always a memorable hoot.
Joy, on the other hand, is another great character who can be counted on saying or doing something inappropiate from a bunch of different directions: sexually, parenting, white trash pride, being a petty thief, being TV’s alpha bitch.
On the other hand, is it me, or is Catalina’s hotness being turned waaaaaay down lately? What’s up with that? WHO THE HELL COMPLAINED?
It says something that Darnell/Earl’s “Hey, Earl.” “Hey, Crab-Man.” schtick hasn’t gotten old yet.
I’ll lean towards Randy as the bigger scene stealer, but only because he consistently has the funniest lines in the show.
It is really the 4 main supporting characters and the guest characters that are the main humor of the show. Earl probably has less funny lines than Joy or Randy.
Darnell and Catalina have some great lines and the cadre of returning guest or Semi-Regulars remind me of 3 of my favorite all-time shows. MASH, Barney Miller and Northern Exposure had great recurring characters.

Earl: Randy, STOP poking at me.
Randy: I’m just trying to grab the pretty red dot.
Good stuff.
Joy with her “Half-a-fruit” sales pitch to the camera had me laughing out loud.
Even a fairly week Ep. like this one is still better than most crap on these days.
I like to compare it to The Simpsons, for building a whole town’s worth of reliable supporting characters.
I just wish they would put Catalina in more scenes! And that we could see more of her – in skimpier, sexier outfits!
I almost fell off the couch when I realized that the music when Earl was hiding in the kid’s room was the theme from “Halloween”. Perfect!
'Twasn’t just you who noticed (and 'twasn’t me who complained). In the last few episodes, it’s seemed like they’ve decided to stick Catalina in as the merest afterthought. I’m disappointed in that decision.
Is anyone else waiting for a short little appearance from Jay and/or Silent Bob?
I am. I think it would be fun.
Jim
Me too. She’s as good a comic actress as Jamie.
