My next-door neighbours cat is not long for this world

Glad to hear she’s still alive - not great to hear she’s still getting into everything. That’s a cat thing, though - I don’t think she’ll outgrow that one.

Okay, I just about died laughing!

I still have tears of laughter rolling down my cheeks.

Although it took a lot longer than expected it seems the devil-may-care attitude of my neighbours cat finally caught up with her, apparently she got run over a couple of nights ago. :\

I’m actually more annoyed about it than I thought I would be, she was a fun and friendly cat, which is more than you can say for a lot of people, godspeed Lucy and thanks for the entertainment.

Though to be honest I did expect to find you one day lying in a pool of blood and broken glass from your rather annoying habit of jumping from a great height onto the glass roof of my sunroom, especially when I was in it…

:frowning:

For some reason this reminds me of a WWII film where a deaf Black soldier is walking down the road. The other soldiers hear a plane coming and jump for the ditches. The deaf guy is like, ‘Where’d everybody go?’ And then he’s killed by the strafing airplane.

Sorry to hear this news. Sounds like at least she enjoyed herself until the end.

A neighbor recently discovered a cat that may or may not have been an indoor/outdoor guy. He had a collar, no tags, and not a breakaway. One of the metal loops meant for tags or a leash had gotten entwined with fencing, and the cat had strangled himself. She said it took some doing for her to untangle the collar from the fence, the cat didn’t have a chance.

I take it he had been deafened in combat and not when he signed up!

Yeah, she definitely enjoyed herself when she was here. And uggghhh poor cat, what a way to go. :\

If it makes you feel any better, or something, outdoor cats live only an average of 2.5 years.
I hope it was quick.
We too have a friendly neighbor cat we’ve kinda become close too. He’s past the 3 year mark…
