My Own Fault...

Rose? Is that you? Hey, cool name! I like it!

Yep, I started to get angry and vengeful for a while here. Then I found out that, while I was on vacation, they passed out bonus checks! Now, before you go wah wah waaaaaah, you have to understand that this cheap-ass cardiology group never gives bonuses. And from what I’ve heard, it’s a fat one, too (i.e., enough to replace everything that was taken and then some). So, I guess my karma isn’t so bad.

Oldie, I’ll definitely be burning some serious CDs over the next few days to make up for my lost ones. I figure my morals are safe making myself the complete albums of the ones I lost, since I did pay for them originally.

Well, that’s why you pay insurance, anyway. Be sure to tell the insurance company about the $1000 set of golf clubs and the $500 worth of CDs you had in the car, to get repaid…

My theory’s always been that if the theives want to get in (car, house, whatever), they’re going to get in. No alarm system or fancy lock will stop them. It’s good to be poor and have nothing of value, I guess.

That bites, my friend. I’m glad you’re taking it in stride though. All the best to you and yours. And, thanks for the Christmas wishes, much appreciated.

Welcome, nineiron, to the looneybin. Just for you:

Sorry but your auto insurance doesn’t usually cover these things. It only covers things that are actually installed in the vehicle. Now if Demo has homeowner’s insurance THAT would cover the “stolen” items.

BTW, I’m sorry to hear about the break-in. Our truck got broken into last January and they made off with some cd’s, my husband’s overnight bag, a pair of dress shoes, and a brand new suit. I really wanted to be really angry at whoever did it but I just kept thinking some homeless person probably needed that stuff or the money more than we did. Maybe I’m kidding myself but what are few missing cd’s and some clothes when people don’t have shelter or food?

From my experices the insurance will only kick in if there is a sign of forced entry. When my radio was stolen there was no sign of forced entry so I was not reimbursed. However I did feel that having it solen from me was deserved becuse of it’s origins. I don’t want to go into more detail here so as to not incriminate myself.

BTW Anyone here know how I can find the statue of limitations for received stolen property in NJ? (I’m kidding guys kidding!)

Dude, I feel for you. I know how much of a bjork freak you are! I didnt know that Santa Rosa was that ghetto ;). Well, i hope you can recover all of it with that phat bonus you’re getting.

Surprisingly no one steals stuff from my car, even though I leave it unlocked a lot of the time (although they’d just have my tapes to steal).

When Mr. Rilch is a passenger in my car, he leaves his door unlocked more often than not. Grrr! And you can imagine how he’d react if I did that with his truck!

I agree that if someone wants to get your stuff they will…but in the meantime, the locks are there; might as well use them. I also don’t want my unlocked car to be a haven for a murderer/rapist. Always look in the back seat before you unlock the car, people!
