Is there a free, on-line, usefull tool for determining one’s strongest attributes? Not in the personality sort of way, but in the “best job for you” type of way.
I’ve taken a few, and I don’t tend to trust the results. Any suggestions?
Not that I know of. What you’re looking for is a “Skill/Interest Inventory,” and good ones tend to be fee-only. The best I’ve heard of is the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB); the Strong-Campbell Vocational Interest Battery is another good one, although it doesn’t get into skill level.
Damn, doesn’t appear to allow one to take it online. Given the sample questions, I think we’d all be fit for generals though…
I think I remember something like emode.com or something similar. It was more personality based, but I guess that might be a good place to start.
