My parents just walked in with a 4 ft. stuffed catfish from Home Depot

THANK YOU GOD-SOMEONE ELSE WHO KNOWS OF CJ&TF…

I swear, Bumba, (ok if I call you Bumba?) I thought I was the only person in the world who threw in (and got) CJ&TF references. Either that or they were all ignoring me.

I will go cry tears of happiness now - I don’t feel so all alone. I told MrM2U I wanted the christmas carol singing fish - they have them at our local Thornton’s - you do NOT want to hear what he told me - it wasn’t pretty.

If we’re going with evil…you could always go with Flagg. Okay next time I acquire an evil stuffed animal, that’s what i’m naming it.

Missy2U:

Gosh Missy, blush I like you too, <scrubs toe in dirt>
in a plutonic sort of way, of course.
(Don’t know about your Mister, but I’m scared of my Missus.)

  • And it’s one, two, three,
What are we fighting for ?
    Don’t ask me, I don’t give a damn,
    Next stop is Vietnam;
    And it’s five, six, seven,
    Open up the pearly gates,
Well there ain’t no time to wonder why,
    Whoopee! we’re all gonna die.*

<hijack ends>

Jester, my man, decided on a name for fishy?

Name it Eric.

okay, here’s what I have the names narrowed down to:

**Harry
Ralph
Giant Freakish Catfish
Exhibit A
Eric
**

Any comments or suggestions? Gunslinger, that has to be one of the funniest skits ever. “Eric the Half Bee” shall be stuck in my head for the rest of the day.

And KimKat, as soon as I get the chance, I’ll send the picture. Thank you much for volunteering.

I so did not get that.

[slight hijack here]

I recently saw the Halloween version of the singing fish: it was exactly the same except it was a fish skeleton and it also sang Monster Mash. Way cooler than the regular singing fish.
Also, at the same place they had a JAWS singing fish.

As for Jester’s stuffed fish: Your parents are nuts. Definitely name it Exhibit A. Or Ralph.

I named one of my goldfish Eric because of this sketch. Just thought you’d all like to know that.

Click it! It’s linked to the explanation. Why do you think I went to the trouble of putting a link in it? (unless you did click it, and don’t get that…)

Go to here:

This fish was actually in the national ad in our Sunday paper here in Cleveland.

Don’t know how to post a link, like gunslinger, and don’t have the time to learn.

Back to work I go…

MomCat

It’s on page 12…

Sorry, should have included the page number. Thanks, KimKatt

Wouldn’t you know that, after an entire day of nothing to do, just as I find the ad on the 'net somebody would walk up with something that needs done NOW !!!

Maybe I should get my 17 year old daugher one for her birthday???

Especially if I tell her it’s name is either Wanda or Eric. she groks Monty Python.

Thanks for the Monty Python link!! I’ve been wanting to find one ever since my sister named her son Eric!!

She probably won’t ‘get it’, though. Maybe I’ll teach my nephew the song???

MomCat

I did click it. I had no idea what that stuff was about…sorry. Explain it to me?

Fluffy? It is a pillow, right?

 It’s a Monty Python sketch. You do know who Monty Python was, don’t you?

Oh, please tell me you know what Monty Python is. Please.

Yes, but…I didn’t find it all that funny. More like vaguely amusing…

I got it, Balance. I just thought Kingfish would be more apropos. Wasn’t the Paul Newman movie about Huey Long “Blaze”? Focusing on Huey’s relationship with Blaze Starr? Or am I confusing two Paul Newman movies?

I’d just like to point out that of the five names making the finalist list, I suggested two of them. Thank you very much.

Still fishing for a copy of that fish picture. As soon as I land it, I’ll hook y’all up to see it. Jester may be in deep if we don’t get to see this picture soon…

Okay. I’m terribly sorry. I’ll stop with the lines now.

Where’s the fish smilie?
