Oh, he’s so handsome. I love birds and have had all kinds in my life. Unfortunately I don’t have one now as my apartment is not well-lit enough or warm enough in the bitter Albany cold, and doesn’t have a seperate room where we could put him/her. So I live vicariously through others.
He looks about the size of my white-capped pionus baby that I used to have. I love the way they have to look at everything with both eyes, turning their heads, in case it looks better from the other side.
A couple of mine love the Ramones, Robert Johnson, Leadbelly, The Doors, and Victor Jara. The male signals his approval by doing flips on his perch.
The only time my canaries would sing is when Back in Black by AC/DC came on. Never any other time. Hmmm, cool birdies.
I had a black-masked lovebird who, when hearing “Sweet Home Chicago”, would sit on top of the speaker, close his eyes, and rock back and forth like Ray Charles.
