What the h??? Okay, I’ve got this cool little laptop called an Asus. Luckily it’s got THE neatest feature ever. It has two "on " buttons. One boots up to the harddrive, the other boots up a little “quick access” menu that lets me get online, play music or play games from the DVD.
Unfortunately there’s no way to get from the Asus Gate to the regular OS (Windows 7).
I was online earlier today just fine. Then when I turned it on tonite, I couldn’t log in. It keeps saying my password is wrong. No biggie right? I just miss typed it. Nope, I OOH so carefully typed it in for several different tries. No go.
I can either reload my OS, (prefer not to, I might lose some data), or I can get a password recovery program 20 to 40 bucks. Does anyone know of a better quick and dirty way? Grrrrrrrrr…
Whoops, sorry yes it’s my Windows password. The sign-in “view” warns me if I’ve left caps lock on, but I don’t know about the numlocks part, that’s possible and I’ll try it (by the way, may I HIGHLY recommend Asus? This Asus Express Gate thing ROCKS, does anyone else’s brand have something similar? I can’t get into my hardrive, but I can at least get online and even play my games from my DVD if I absolutely had to…:D).
And if I go the pogostick route, I’m assuming I’ll have to go to another computer to create a boot disc and then go into my system setup and change the boot order to my DVD drive?
