A very mundane and pointless announcement: After watching the video of game guru Will Wright giving a demonstration of the upcoming “Spore” at the 2005 Game Developers Conference (download it from here), I am now officially granting him a central place in my personal pantheon. There he joins Beethoven, Austrian novelist Robert Musil, Polish movie director Krzysztof Kieslowski, dynamic duo Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman of Mythbusters, and the guy who invented frozen pizza.
For this occation, I have prepared this sketch for a mural, which I intend to have painted on my bedroom ceiling, as soon as I can find a renaissance genious to do the job.
(Yeah, I know… “Where’s Cecil?” Now, the thing is, Cecil is the one and only invisible deity, and as such belongs to a different and competing religious system all together. I worship Cecil on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, and my pantheon on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. OK?)
So… what does your personal pantheon look like?
