a bit of an understatement there, lets not forget, much of the arab resentment against israel is due to the fact they got their arses well and truly spanked by the israelies before. egypt and her allies attacked first, then bitched to the un when the israelies kicked them back and destroyed their airforces and much of their tank regiments.
for what its worth, if the US stopped supporting israel, i would give it a year to 18 months, then some arab nations would have a go at israel again, this time i dont think the israelies would stop.
