Darkly appropriate, but I agree. It killed my very old, Alzheimer’s-riddled father, and when that happened, what remains of my family (basically, my sister and I) breathed a sigh of relief. Now, finally, Dad’s at rest, and is in a better place, with all his faculties.
Fondly in his loving children’s memories is a might splendid place to be as well.

The vibrating vests were a nice upgrade. Even better are the new drugs which actually fix the cellular chloride ion transport defect which causes the CF pathology.
My niece, a healthy 12-year-old, just had it for 3 or 4 weeks. I feel for you, man. Coughing is exhausting and not being able to catch your breath is scary!! Best wishes for a healthy outcome.
I’ve heard about those meds, and which one they use depends on which abnormal gene they have. Molecular biology - gotta love it!
