My September 11 Thoughts

Yes, and it also doesn’t magically increase the energy exuded. Look, at this point it’s just become asinine. There’s no reason to believe that nano-thermite was used or even could have been used in the towers. Full stop. There’s no reason to believe that anything resembling thermite or thermate was used. There is nothing.

There is military grade thermite (called super-thermite or nano-thermite), then there is Nano-Termite™, which can be painted on at a 45 degree angle and cause a steel beam to be cut in two just like that. One is real, if little documented, the other is magical. The one that CTers use to try and explain why there is no physical evidence of controlled demolition is the magic stuff, set by fairy ninjas with pain brushes and magical detonators that leave zero evidence.

I’m not really seeing it, but if you are happy then that’s fine by me.

…and leave no detectable traces after. Forgot that part.

And it makes all security personnel look the other way.
“These are not the construction workers you are looking for.”
“These are not the construction workers we are looking for.”

…move along…move along…

So, I’m going through some of the links on that Popular Technology 9/11 debunking site, and I came across one of my favorite videos from the NatGeo special, the one where they debunk the ‘you can’t melt steel with just jet fuel’ (to paraphrase the standard CT assertion). This one is 10 minutes long, but IMHO it’s worth seeing if you haven’t seen it (or if you have and just want to laugh at the pay off at the end when the CT nutters trying and rebut the video…they collectively almost achieve flight with all the handwavage).

That Popular Technology site is really a good bit of data for debunking the 9/11 Truther types. I hadn’t come across it before, but I’ll definitely want to keep this one as a favorite in the future…since, I’m sure this won’t be the last time this CT rears it’s ugly head around here.

I love in the comments “That’s not a test, because jet fuel can’t weaken steel!!!” “Umm, yeah it can, and that is an effective test”. “Can not!!!”

I love the architect guy at the end who says something like ‘that’s why it’s so profound that I’m saying that this test is irrelevant, since we already have overwhelming proof of controlled demolition!’ :stuck_out_tongue: I was rolling on the floor listening to those idiots trying to hand wave the experiment away. The funny thing was the architect, since he KNEW that steel could be deformed by heat (and didn’t need to ‘melt’), and had to handwave it away by saying that the test itself was irrelevant since, yeah, steel would deform and fail in the heat of a burning building, especially since the fire proofing protection had been removed (via violent air plane impact), but that we don’t need not stinking tests since it was all about the explosives. The rest of those guys were clueless gets and didn’t understand what the test really showed, but you could see it in the architect guys eyes…he got it. Yet he still had to dance and shuffle waving his hands in the air like he don’t care.

That would be Richard Gage. He’s got a rather limited definition of the word ‘overwhelming’ and since he makes his living off this truther stuff (he’s in charge of AE911T) he has to deny anything that debunks his nonsense, which is pretty much all of reality.

For anyone who thinks that these Truthers have no economic stake in things, was watching a BBC video on the subject and they mentioned that the (idiots) who did Loose Change started off with a budget of less than $2000.00. The latest video? It had a budget of over a million.

And that was most of Dylan’s money (along with whatever he wasted on pot and other nonsense at that time). Now he edits videos for food via Craigslist.

And the radio guy (Jones) has pretty much made a career on this…at least he used to have a daily show where he did the whole right winger shout radio bit but about 9/11 and the evils of the Bush administration. I assume, since Bush is gone, that it might have toned down, but no idea. At a certain point I got so disgusted by this whole thing that I deliberately stopped looking into these people and what they were doing. I had hoped that, eventually, this ridiculous movement and subject would fade to background noise similar to JFK assassination CTers or Moon Landing hoax folks…only coming out of the wood work once in a while, like the groundhog checking it’s shadow then wandering back underground to do whatever groundhogs do. :stuck_out_tongue:

Jones is still around but he had to spread to a wide variety of other conspiracy theories to keep his audience, which consists entirely of the insane ‘NWO under mah bed’ crowd at this point.

I had thought that the 9/11 conspiracy theories had collapsed under the weight of their own stupidity, but here in this thread we’ve had The Anticrist, who’s been a member since September, Stringbean who’s been here since October, GreenElf from 2011 (who apparently hasn’t completely drunk of the Kool-Aid yet), psikeyhackr from 2009, and Latro, who’s been around since 2002 ferchrissake! And Honesty, who posted some conspiracy-friendly stuff, is almost as much of an old-timer as me!
o0oTOPCATo0o is the only new one. It’s like we have this Truther sleeper-cell, waiting to pounce on a 9/11 related post.

Back to the topic…
Since this seems to be a thread mostly about the idea of controlled demolition of the towers, I haven’t seen anyone try to address my question: a controlled demolition would take out the cores of the towers, but if that’s the case how come the cores could be seen standing in the dust cloud after the rest of the towers had collapsed?

Holograms, same as the planes.

And Bose’s noise-cancelling headphone technology cancelled out the deafening sound of the explosions. Or something like that. I forget the details.

Hmm, yes. I’ve always considered the idea that there was controlled demolition to a load of hogwash, because I realised what amount of actual work goes into demolishing a building. So I haven’t paid much attention to the theories flying around.

With this thread, and a bit of free time on my hands, I decided to watch a couple CT videos. The thermite thing struck me as something that would make demolition at least a bit more feasable.
The Hyena pack reactions encouraged me to delve further into the subject.
'Twas a fun exercise. Back to work…:frowning:

And you know what Bose is? A German company! You know who else came from Germany? Hitler!

It’s all starting to come together.

Wait - Wikipedia says Bose is an American company. THEY GOT TO WIKIPEDIA!

This MB must be very important if it attracted Rick Scott!

The whole reason Wikipedia was started in the first place was for plausible deniability. They could whitewash both sides of the story. Why else would anyone make the most popular website in the world FREE?! Think about it.
