Oh wow! An excuse! Someone else started it…
Okay, Jinwicked gets linked.
That is niiiiiiice.
So quote the sig: Something Interesting.
In that case, I should probably change my sig to “something that hasn’t been updated in at least a few years and contains an embarassing number of dead links.”
Honey, that’s AOL Hometown. It’s pretty much expected of you.
Hooray! Thanks, Sealemon88. And yes, mucho “hooray” for fathom.org as well.
Nice way to promote my wife’s art site
my own horn, that is…
welcome to the wonderful world of rusmo:
comments, suggestions, and reactions to my musings are especially welcome. also, be sure to check out some of the stuff I’m ding with macromedia flash. links are on the main page.
your site is the only one so far that has the juice to compete with mine, but mine’s sort of in a state of hodge-podgey conversion to a completely Flash-ed site.
remember…this is IMHO. once again, my site can be seen its entirety at http://www.rusmo.com
Dopers…be sure to check out my musings page and post/send feedback to me. thanks.

Completely Flash? Eek, don’t bother. Some of us on 56k dial-ups don’t appreciate non-standard browser controls and age-long loading times.
('course, it’ll piss all over mine in terms of looks, but still…)
…I’d just like to say to whoever was looking at my site last night from this thread: wow, I wish I had your PC. 1280x1024 monitor and 32 bit colors!
Well I’m always looking for critiques… WARNING: My site is heavily dependant on Cascading Style Sheets and will look crap in anything less than IE 5 or a recent Mozilla build. It looks great in a text only browser though…
Mine is not much to see,
most jokes and pictures.
I have to redo it,
and Montfort has promissed to help me.
here it is,
http://medlem.tripodnet.nu/Anniz/index/index,%20htm.htm
that was me. my computer’s actually pretty old (bought it 3/99): P3-500, 256MB RAM, GeForce 256 DDR card (6/00), 21" monitor. Geting ready to drop a boatload of money into a new one.
what’s ironic is that YOUR site was taking forever to load last night (I figure traffic between Atlanta and the UK), so I gave up and never actually saw it. this morning it loaded right up, however, and I’d like to say that you have a very nice, cean layout.
Flash movies (sites) are relatively lightweight if you don’t get too fancy with the animations. and even when they’re big, you can provide a bit of eye candy for the user to watch while they’re loading.
Flash certainly looks nice, but I think I’m scarred by all the corporate websites that use nothing but (thanks Open Interactive, Telewest and others). Or maybe I’m just jealous since I never learned to use it!
My shameless self-advertisement.
Hasn’t been worked on in awhile, but I like my menubar.

“If you don’t know us, you don’t belong!”
Uh, Tripler, that link didn’t work, but thats okay. Your house one did.
And Crusoe, I also looked at your site last night. I also have that setup on my computer.
I know that I want to say something in addition to what I just said, but I can’t remember. Darn it.
Oof, thanks. . .

Damn keyboard.
Got you all beat.
Nobody ever goes to my website ( http://home.collegeclub.com/Dragonblink ) except my friends who feel sorry for me.
So how about I plug someone else’s web site? http://www.spinnwebe.com http://www.sluggy.com http://www.userfriendly.org http://www.brunothebandit.com and the classic http://www.kevinandkell.com
Hooray for those who, unlike me, bother to learn html and such dialects!
