Next time I see his wife, I’ll ask her how to go about it. He’s been doing it for 25 years and makes a bundle (plays guitar though).

Maybe, let us know where he travels so we can see the Cirque de Soleil perform I have never been, and it would make it even cooler that a Doper was in the orchestra.

An update…
Mr.dreamer’s audition went very well!! The other candidate turned out to be a Flamingo/Classical style guitarist while Mr.dreamer’s background is mostly rock and I think that is what they are looking for. After Mr.dreamer’s audition the Band Leader said if it was entirely up to him, he would choose Mr.dreamer for the job! I’m sure he and the rest of the band have a say in the matter, but the final decision is made by casting in Montreal. They videotaped an interview with him as well as the audition and are sending it there for their review. So now we wait.
In the interview Mr.dreamer put in a good word for me and also gave the band leader a Cirque song that I learned in Italian that he and I recorded together. You know that saying…What is behind every good man??? Yes!! a good (dreamer) woman!!! I’m not taking any credit here, but it was I who sent in his resume and video over two years ago!
I’m hoping we hear from them the first of the week so keep those good thoughts a’comin! And thanks
dreamer, that’s very awesome! Please convey my best wishes to Mr. dreamer. If he is the guitarist mentioned on the band’s website, then based on his stated musical influences he should get a kick out of my user name. (It’s true!)

I saw La Nouba in Orlando for my birthday two years ago. I still have the soundtrack - in fact, I was listening to it this afternoon. Very cool show.
Well, I posted this at the beginning of the week - Monday I guess. But just so you all know Mr. dreamer did get the job! :)
He signed the contract this morning and he will be playing in Sacramento with Dralion from October 4th through the 18th and possibly a few days more. I plan on being with him though I haven’t landed an usher job yet or found out if it’s okay if I stay with him. But I’d totally sleep in my car if I had to just to share this experience!!
