Having a child in surgery is such a scary, nerve-wracking event. My love and prayers are heading your family’s way right this minute, Shodan. I’m sure all will be well.
He’s out of the surgery, and in the recovery room.
Apparently everything went well. We won’t know if the surgery “worked” for a couple of weeks, but at this point, if he comes home OK and not any worse, I have all that I could want.
Your prayers have been answered. Mine are for God to bless and reward everyone who prayed for us, and I am sure those prayers will be answered as well.

He’s home. He had some trouble with nausea, but he is full of Compazine, so he is back on his PC destroying aliens, so he is back to normal.
His hair is sticking in eight different directions from the Jaw Bra[sup]TM[/sup] he wore after surgery, but he doesn’t seem to want any of the pain medications, so the rascal seems to be OK. We should know if the nerve heals in a few weeks.

Good, good news, Shodan. I just caught this thread, but I will definitely keep your lad in my prayers for a full, speedy and happy recovery.
Shodan , I , too, just found this thread. I hope the lillun is doing good and can offer a prayer for his doc to do as good a job on the next? Hope that makes up for the lateness.

I didn’t see this thread until yesterday and didn’t have a chance to post.
I’m glad he’s doing well. I had some serious surgery as a kid and I’m sure my parents were nervous wrecks about it, but I pulled through fine. Kids heal amazingly well.

Shodan, I’m glad to know your son made it through surgery safe and sound. I’ll be praying that the surgery was able to have its intended effect.
