The actual operation should have started about ten minutes ago.
He had a nerve in his jaw severed during a previous operation to remove a growth in his jaw. The doctors said that the previous growth, although not malignant, had eroded the bone in his jaw and cut the nerve controlling sensation in his tongue and jaw. The neurosurgeon is doing a new procedure he developed to try to repair the nerve.
My wife is with him, and I am home with my daughter.
Would those of you who are willing please pray for him? And the rest of us, too. This is my guy in there, and it is stressful. We should know sometime this afternoon how it went.
My wife just called. He is still in surgery. I don’t think this is unusual in cases of this sort.
I cannot think of words to express our appreciation for your prayers, so I won’t try. May our Lord bless and keep all of you next to His heart for your kindness to a stranger.
Awww…the poor little feller. I hope he does alright. Are the doctors confident this will correct the problem? You hate to see a kid go through even ONE surgery. Give him a big ol’ hug when he wakes up. From me.
