This song is so beautiful, I choke up when I hear or play it. The music is from “Finlandia,” the unofficial national anthem of Finland, composed in 1899 by Jean Sibelius, Finland’s greatest composer. Lloyd Stone added these words in 1934. It’s still a favorite among liberal church congregations. Has anybody else heard it?
